Our Past

In 1938, Adam Kurzawa (pictured right), along with his wife, Nelly, started Standard Furniture Exchange, mostly buying and selling furniture and appliances.

Today

Today, we are an appliance service company, repairing major appliances for most major brands.

Factory Service

We are licensed and factory-certified service providers for most major brands. We service all brands of appliances whether it is a fridge, washer, or dishwasher — we are here to help you solve the problem with your appliance.

Technician Training

Not all technicians are factory-qualified techs. Today's modern appliances include computer boards and sensors that require factory training and support to diagnose and repair. All our technicians must go through a 10-month college course, where they are taught the basics of appliance service including how to repair fridges, stoves, laundry machines, dishwashers, and basic electrical concepts. They also receive in-house, hands-on training in our shop.

Staying Current

Today it is important to stay current on all changes and updates to brands and models of appliances. We stay up-to-date on sevice bulletins, recalls, and pro-tips from the manufactures. We also have access to manufacturer's technical helplines.

Standard Appliances provides a full warranty on all of the parts and labour. Our technicians are well trained on all types of home appliances.
